Two Women Charged With Prostitution In Massage Parlor Bust In Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Two women were charged with practicing prostitution at an unlicensed massage parlor in Westport after lengthy investigation, police said.

Vera Kuvshinova, 27, of Fairlawn, N.J., was charged with promoting prostitution, prostitution and practicing massage therapy without a license. Dilyara Ziganshina, 31, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged with prostitution and practicing massage therapy without a license. Each was held on $10,000 bond.

The women were arrested Thursday night after a two-month investigation, police said.

Police received information in February that a massage parlor in the Saugatuck area of Westport was offering sexual conduct for a fee, according to police. Detectives began investigating the activities at the rented office space, and executed a search warrant Thursday night.

They seized evidence relating to the facilitation of sexual conduct, according to police. They also discovered that the parlor and the two women were not licensed.

The arrest was conducted by Westport Police along with Norwalk Special Services and Homeland Security Investigations.
